Areas of Practice > Construction – Planning Law, Environmental Protection Law

Construction projects for large buildings or residential complexes, office blocks or industrial or commercial premises are directly tied into compliance with a legal and regulatory framework that is constantly changing in terms of general planning rules and decisions on how to implement planning requirements. Permissible land uses, permissible changes in land uses and the environmental impacts that they can cause, and the drafting of contracts on these matters are all topics the law firm deals with. The firm offers support to clients during the administrative and pre-contractual stage and also drafts the relevant contracts, and assists in resolving any judicial dispute which may arise from such procedures. It has extensive experience in handling litigation on such matters and petitions for annulment of decisions before the Council of State and other administrative courts, and with the law of compulsory purchase orders. Our firm also provides services to Management Bodies of Protected Areas (L. 2742/1999) in relation to the entire range of legal issues they face, and in particular the implementation of European and national legislation within their remit, the exercise of their powers and their relationships with other bodies.
